David was raised in the Ribble Valley and attended Clitheroe Royal Grammar School before travelling the world as an engineer in the oil and gas industry. He has two grown up children, Andrew and Jennifer, and was widowed during the Covid crisis. Currently he works as a consultant in the I.T. industry on a part-time basis. The rapid expansion of house building concerns him and he is very keen to force developers to build the right mix of housing so that young people from the Valley have a better chance of being able to afford to stay.
