Standard membership fee is just £39.00 a year, £10 (under 26 years of age) and £25 for members and former members of the armed forces. Membership entitles you to:

Become a Ward Representative (Executive Council)
Ward representatives sit on the Executive Council which is the governing body of the Association. Membership comprises the officers of the Association and a mix of councillors and ward representatives. Its responsibilities include the selection of candidates for local government and Parliamentary elections. Depending on individual level of involvement, the role can be a stepping stone to becoming a potential council candidate
Become a Councillor
The role of city, district or county councillor is both challenging and rewarding, using your experience and talents to help your local community. You will gain political insight, build a network of like-minded friends and colleagues and develop useful skills such as public speaking and problem solving. Above all, new councillors of all ages bring fresh ideas, energy and enthusiasm to local politics helping to shape decisions for today and the future.
Help with campaigning in your area
This could include a wide range of activities from canvassing residents (on the doorstep or via phone) and delivering leaflets to fundraising and organising social events. Our volunteers can really make a difference... do join us.
