Stephen Atkinson lives in Brockhall Village with his wife, Lisa and their two sons, Harry and Oliver. Stephen is a devoted family man with a great love for the outdoors and enjoys skiing, motorcycling, sailing and walking in his spare time. 

Stephen runs a manufacturing company which specialises in height adjustable furniture for children with disabilities and advises schools on furniture and equipment.

During his time at the Council, Stephen has served on several Committees including: - Accounts and Audit, the recently established Economic Development Committee, Planning & Development and Licensing. He was also the Chair of the Personnel Committee and the Deputy Chair of the Policy and Finance Committee up until his appointment as Group Leader.  Stephen is also a Trustee of The Clitheroe Royal Grammar School Foundation
