Borough Councillor for Whalley & Painter Wood, Ward Ribble Valley
Mark Hindle has had a long career in the NHS and was the Chief Executive of Calderstones NHS Foundation Trust. He led the merger of the Trust with Mersey Care Foundation Trust and is still very active in the continued delivery of high-quality services as the site moves toward closure in the early 2020s. His priorities are to keep jobs and services in the Ribble Valley. He is concerned to make sure that the creation of a crematorium protects the sanctity of the burials already in Calderstones cemetery.
Mark is very active in the local Whalley community, most recently being very involved in the activities to celebrate the Centenary of the end of World War 1. He believes that people need an active voice in the decisions that affect them in the Ribble Valley and wants to continue to see the Borough Council provide high quality and best value services for Council Tax payers.
He believes in encouraging and developing business in Whalley. So visitors and residents benefit from a vibrant and sustainable village. Mark Hindle will provide a strong voice for the people of Whalley.
