Borough Councillor for Grindleton & West Bradford
Kevin Horkin is a local businessman who has been a resident of Grindleton & West Bradford for 12 years. He first became a councillor in Hyndburn in the late 80’s and became chief whip in the Conservative administration. In 2011 he was elected to the Ribble Valley Borough Council and Clitheroe Town Council as he had businesses in the town. In 2014 he was the Mayor of Clitheroe and played a very active part on RVBC. In 2015 he gave up his council seats to fight a Parliamentary election in Hyndburn in 2015 and again 2017 each time reducing the Labour majority. He remained politically active and was awarded an MBE by the Queen in 2017 for work in national charities and services to the community.
