As a valued member of the Conservative Party you will have the opportunity to vote for our new Leader. Conservative Members of Parliament will decide the short list of two Candidates. You should have received a letter from our Party Chairman, Brandon Lewis MP, detailing how the Election will be carried out. If you have not received such a letter and you believe that you are entitled to vote in the Leadership Election, please contact either [email protected] or our association Office [email protected].

We are holding a meeting for qualifying Members on Friday 5th July 2019 to discuss the Leadership Election. Our MP, Nigel Evans will attend and will be able to answer questions. Members, whose vote this is, will also have the opportunity to express their views. The details of the meeting are as follows:

Location: Whalley Village Hall, Accrington Road, Whalley BB7 9TD (www.whalleyvillagehall.org.uk)

A glass of wine or soft drinks will be available thanks to the generosity of an anonymous donor.

This is a Members only meeting. Please could you therefore bring a copy of your letter from Brandon Lewis or your current Membership card to show that you are entitled to vote in the Election of the Leader.

For catering purposes it would help to know the number of Members likely to attend so it would be very helpful if you could send an e-mail to [email protected]stating that you are planning to attend.

After the meeting and when Ballot papers have been posted out (due between 6th and 8th July) we will be conducting a voluntary survey of all Members so that they can record their voting preference. We will then be able to see how the Ribble Valley compares to the national selection.
