Louise Edge has lived in Clayton-le-Dale since 1993, when she and her husband took over Fairfield Farm with their three young daughters.

They have diversified the business over the years from a pig farm, via a farm shop to its current status as a business park. Louise has been self-employed for the last 20 years, following a career in IT. She has a keen interest in and extensive experience of small business development. On the business park they have been able to directly assist several new business start-ups, many of which have developed into important employers in the ward. Louise served as Magistrate for 8 years and has been involved as a trustee of Mellor Brook Community Centre.
